Citation analysis is able to map the structure of subject areas and leads to the emergence of new scientific disciplinesIt traces and shows the internal relationships between subject categories within structure, and as a result studies the history of science. purpose of this article is drawing Maps of the scientific production in the Field of addiction based on Web of science between 2008 to 2013. The study population consisted of 489 articles in the field of addiction citation analysis of the database web of science. Maps of the area, Reputation Index is based on a global citation score (GCS) and local citation score (LC MS) is plotted. Thematic trends of scientific Maps in the field of addiction include five thematic clusters. The average annual growth rate during the time period for reviewed publications is 0/253. Documents written by 1352 authors in 10 publication formats have been published in 9 languages around the world. It is indicated that the average growth rate of scientific production in the field of addiction is not satisfactory but collaboration in this area is desirable.
