Necessary characteristics of Iran police managers for organization excellence and ranking the characteristics using technique of order preference by similarity to ideal solution

The purpose of this research is to rank the effects of necessary characteristics of Iran police managers on quality management and organization excellence criteria in Iran police and designing and introducing necessary models thereof. It is an applied research in its target and metric in it’s data collection. Data collection tool was researcher made questionnaire. The quality method using views of management professionals is used for its validity and alpha Cronbach coefficient for its reliability which was estimated at 86%.for data analysis, SPSS software at two levels of descriptive and inferential was used. At the level of inferential statistics because using parametric test requires assurance of normality of data distribution, first the testing was executed and then for data analysis of studied factors, single sample T test and for ranking the managers characteristics the technique of order preference by similarity to ideal solution were used. The research findings indicated that all manager's characteristics (managerial, personal, behavioral, value bearing and perceptual characteristics) have influences over quality management and organization excellence in Iran police organization. Also in ranking these factors using the technique of order preference by similarity to ideal solution it was clear that value bearing and perceptual characteristics have the most effects and behavioral characteristics has the less effect on quality management and organization excellence in Iran police respectively.
