Jebel Amel Scholars role in consolidating and expanding Safavid rule and The spread of Shiism in Iran

The emigration of a group of Shiite jurists to Iran is one of the important consequences of establishment of the Safavid government. The emigration took place as a result of Safavid government invitation because of its religious foundation، a lack of Shiite judicial sources and absence of jurists who could assist the government throughout difficulties arising from recognizing Shiism. Therefore a group of Jabal Ameli jurists following this opportunity and with the motive of extending their judicial studies came to Iran. The present article intends to study the role outstanding jurists played in stabilizing Safavid government and expanding Shiism as a few examples of their presence in Iran.
