The Relationship between Psychological Capital and Organizational Entrepreneurship among Police Personnel at the Country's Airports

Background and psychological capital is a new concept that has been introduced since 2006 in the field of organization and management. Due to its unparalleled role in wealth creation and enterprise, it has become the focus of research among the scholars in the field of organizational behavior. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between psychological capital and organizational entrepreneurship among the police staffs at the country’s airports. this study was a descriptive correlational study. The data were collected using Psychological Capital Inventory and entrepreneurship questionnaires. For data analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and Pearson correlation coefficient were used. The statistical population consisted of 1,600 police personnel working in 2012 in Tehran airports including Mehrabad International Airport, Imam Khomeini Airport. The sample population consisted of 383 police employees of the two airports that were selected by simple random sampling.Findings and the results of the study for the hypotheses showed that there was a significant positive relationship between psychological capital and organizational entrepreneurship of the country’s airports police personnel. And also, there was significant positive relationship among the individual dimensions of the psychological capital including: hope, optimism, resiliency and efficiency, and organizational entrepreneurship among police personnel of the country’s airports
