Sociological investigation factors effecting on cultural consumption: the case of book reading in Ahvaz city

The aim of this study is to investigate the social factors effecting on relationship in Ahvaz city the method of this research is survey and data were collected questionnaire. data were analyzed by SPSS software. Results showed a significant relationship between dimensions of cultural capital، social capital، economic capital with reading. In other words، increase in individual’s level of capitals (in its three dimensions) is associated with an increase in the time that individual expending for reading. also، Results of multi- variate regression has shown that independent variable can explain 0. 39 percent of dependent variable. Value: Today، cultural product consumption particularly books is an index indicating the level of cultural development in different countries. Hence، investigation of factors that affect this phenomenon is of importance.
