The comparison of neuropsychological function among emotionally abused and normal girl students

The purpose of this study was to determine the neuropsychological problems in emotionally abused girls. Comparative-causative method was used in this research. Statistical population of this research was included all of girl students of guidance school that have studied in Tehran. Sixty students (30 students with emotional abuse، 30 normal students) were included in this research. Participants were selected by convenience sampling. The data were collected by emotionally abused researcher-made questionnaire، Wechsler Intelligence Scale for children، Bender Gestalt Visual-Motor Test، Rey – Osterrieth Complex Figure Test. The data were analyzed by using independent “t” Test. The results indicated that there was significant diffrrence between bender gestalt main scores،subscales of Wechsler (similarities، vocabulary)، scores (copy and recall) of Rey Osterrieth among two groups. There were no significant differences between other comparisons. Results indicated That brain dysfunction was shown in emotionally abused students. According to obtained results we suggest to other researchers notice to localization of brain dysfunction in emotionally abused people in addition of psychological problems.
