Mehr and its Beliefs in the Depth of Khaghani's Metaphors

Khaghani Shervani is one the most famous and well-talented poets of 6th century (Hijri) and is as one of the pioneers of Azerbaijani style of writing. Because of his high intellectuality and genius and also his efforts, he was well-skilled in the sciences and mystics of his time and due to the geographical condition of his birthplace and his native thoughts, he became totally familiar with the principals of Mehr religion. Mehr religion is a mysterious one taken from national and traditional beliefs of Iranians from which Nesari religion has taken many inspirations and apparently Khaghani’s poetry is full of these traces. By the depth analysis of Khaghani’s imagism especially the metaphors, there can be found some dark and clear traces of Mehr religion in them and in this research by discussing and evaluating some of his couplets, the researchers study and investigate these bounds and relationships.
