Beyhaghi's History; A Lost Book or an Unshaped Dream (A theory about the size and content of Beyhaghi's History)

Beyhaqi’s History is one of the precious works of the Persian Prose that accordingtoits subject is reviewed and criticized inthefield ofliteratureandhistory. Thevolumeand content ofthis book is one of the most important questions that are raised about this book. Subject of Beyhaqi’s History, as itis nowin our hands or disposal, narrates the quality of achievement to the government of Masood Ghaznavi and the events during his administration until shortly before his death. Apparently Beyhaqi was following the completion of his History until the end ofMasood's periodand he wanted to write the history of Massoud's successors.Based onsome of thecontents of the book, alsothe words ofIbn Fondoqh and severalreferencesin someof the books, someresearchershave inferred that the size of the book is muchmore than whatisavailable today. In this article, after mentionthequestions, theories and someevidenceofthe text of Beyhaqi’s History, it's shown that Beyhaqi’s History has not been a bookbeyond whatisavailabletoday and we onlycansay Beyhaqi followed the grand plan for writing the history of Mahmoud, Massoudandhis successors and he has failed to do it, due tounknown reasons.
