Criminal investigation laboratories can play significant role in detecting crimes as they are properly equipped with the latest equipments and methods. The present study tries to answer this question: "what is the role of crimnal investigation laboratories in detecting crimes?" To answer the question, the researcher had to explore the role of criminal laboratories in detecting such crimes as murder, suspected homicides, suicides, rape, robberies and arsons.8125 cases were investigated and data was collected from 87 laboratories.
