The Study of Social Trust and Factors Affecting It in Bandar Abbas City

Present paper examines the social trust and factors affecting it in Bandar Abbas city. In order to study the social trust in Bandar Abbas, 295 persons from individuals over 15 years old (both men and women) were selected through cluster sampling method with unsuitable volume. This research applied the survey method and data were collected through self-administrated questionnaire, the analysis of the data is carried out at descriptive and inferential statistics levels. The results were analyzed by SPSS software using some statistics such as Mean-differences (t-test), spearman and Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The results revealed that the level of social trust among the people is at the middle and lower than. The findings also showed that there is a significant relationship between age, education level, social belonging, religious commitment with social trust as a dependent variable. There is no significance difference between gender and occupational types regarding to social trust. The result also indicate that there is a significant difference between marital status and social trust, indeed, the mean of social trust was higher among the married respondents than the single. Moreover, according to result, income wasn’t affect on social trust among the respondents.
