Comparison of Performances of Smart vs Traditional Schools on Creativity among the Male third graders of Guidance schools in Tehran
Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to compare the performances of smart vs traditional schools on Creativity among the male third graders of guidance schools in Tehran. This study is causal – comparative and the statistical population consists of all male third grader students of smart vs. traditional schools in 1391-92 academic year. For sampling, after interviewing with experts of smart building of schools from the Ministry of Education, 5 smart and traditional school were selected targeted from the districts of 1, 3, 4, 5 and 17 and one class was randomly selected from each school. The sample consisted of 250 students (125 from smart and 125 from normal schools) in the areas mentioned. For the statistical analysis of the data gathered, descriptive statistic procedures (e.g. frequency distribution, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used. The results showed that considering the Creativity, there were significant difference in total creativity and Following component of the initiative but no significant difference in others following components Including expansion, flexibility and fluid among smart vs traditional schools.
