The purpose of this study is to provide definitions and perspectives of personal information management، and foreign research background and status of the studies in the review and With the Bring up of recommendations in this area will contribute to progress. This study reviewed the literature and various documents related to this field has been done. Research in the field of management of personal information can be early studies، Personal Information Management paper، and personal electronic information management Divided. Studies that have examined the management of personal electronic information can be placed in five categories: 1. Personal information management specific persons، 2. Comparison personal information management electronic and paper، 3. Three approaches to the electronic management of personal، 4. emails and bookmarks and saved pages، and 5. Systems design and management software، electronic personal information management. Studies in this area also runs its infancy and research carried out merely to survey the situation in the society have been studied. results show that time and technology is one of the most important factors in a variety of personal information management research.
