Social capital, empowerment of marginalized women and city labor work The case of study women society of Tabriz informal settlements

Based on existing literature Social capital is defined as a set of norms and rules and informal networks that provide association, trust and collective action to obtain the public good. The empowerment projects of world bank that has been implemented in many third world countries in the late 1980s Followed by a non-reductionist non- physical approach integration of cultural and socio- economic promote the evolution and dynamics of local communities based on social networks. The sex ratio in the informal settlements of Tabriz is 104, so they make up huge volume of population in the informal settlements of Tabriz that According to the patriarchal cultural attitudes they have been denied to entry into many careers the urban labor market. The average rate of women's participation in economic activities of Tabriz Metropolis 8/82 percent that this rate in under review informal settlements quarters(Molla Zeynal, Ahmad Abad, Khalil Abad and Seylab) is 5/6. Their continued presence in the geographical Space of informal settlements has provided a base to production of social capital that they need to facilitator and flexible mechanisms to empowerment in order to entry to city labor market. Nature of late urban labor markets also has somewhat aware about this subject and with sub-contracts is provided opportunities to formation of small businesses based on home-based system place- based cooperative. This paper discusses the feasibility of social capital in empowerment and new labor system formation among the women society of informal settlements in order to entry to city labor market. Flexibility of city labor market versus entrepreneurship of communities resulting from transition to flexible accumulation in the larger socio – economic system. The article subject was discussed in the theoretical framework of post-fordism and transition to flexible accumulation. The results indicate that there are meaningful relationship between social capital of women society of informal settlements and their empowerment in order to entry to flexible labor market and entrepreneurship based on place-based cooperative.
