A Survey on Shiites Economic Situation in Deccan in 10th and 11th Centuries

Economic situation is an important issue that did not receive sufficient attention in the past centuries from the researches whom their main focus was on the political history and military revolutions of the governments. In contemporary period of time economical life has been regarded as one of the branches or subsets of social history by the researchers of the scope of history and social sciences. Economic life of Shia community in Deccan in 10th and 11th centuries was not an exception and the historical resources have not paid much attention to the economic life of this group, but, some information could be gathered by the remained writings and works to study the economic life of Deccan Shiites.
Administrative, military and business affairs and devotion were some of the most important economic activities of the Shiites at that time. In this study it has been attempted to discuss the role and place of this group in Deccan's economic life at that time, mentioning some of the most important economic activities of Deccan's Shiites, using the descriptive-analytic method and library resources.
