Survey of the Embodiment of Human Deeds in the Perspectives of Mulla Sadra and Allama Majlesi

Abstract:
Throughout the history, there have been serious proponents and opponents for the view of the embodiments of human deeds. In view of the principles of his transcendent theosophy including fundamentality of existence, gradation of existence, its individualization, substantial movement of human soul, agency of the soul, immateriality of Imagination and creation of forms without matter, Mulla Sadra explains the possibility of embodiment of deeds. Allama Majlesi, by contrast, strongly opposed the view in such a way that he did only excommunicated the upholders of the embodiments of deeds but also he appealed to some arguments to prove the impossibility of such occurrence. This article is to evaluate both views along with their positive and negative implications. To the authors, the view of Mulla Sadra is feasible and its cogency can be demonstrated.
