Relationship between demographic factors and perspectives of employees of Isfahan Oil Refining Company about the implementation of knowledge management

Abstract:
Purpose
The study aims was to examine the relationship between demographic factors and perspective of employees of Isfahan Oil Refining Company about the implementation of knowledge management.
Methodology
It was used a survey-descriptive method in this research and the population under investigating includes all employees of Isfahan Oil Refining Company. To determine the sample size, it was used the formula of sampling i.e. Cohen. Sampling method is random stratified sampling and the tool for collecting the research data was researcher-made questionnaires with the Likert scale. In this research to determine questionnaires reliability, it was used cronbach's Alpha coefficient (0.94). The analysis was performed on the received questionnaires. It was used descriptive statistics i.e. frequency and mean; and in inferential statistics were used Two sample t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient.
Findings: The findings of the study indicated that the relationship between demographic factors and the employee perspectives about implementation of knowledge management in this company, only in terms of gender there was a significant relationship.
Conclusions
The results showed male and female employees have different perspectives about organizational and technology infrastructure, implementation of knowledge management in Isfahan Oil Refining Company and female employees in relation of organizational and technology infrastructure, implementation knowledge management are more optimistic and have a better attitude.
