The Characteristics of Ethics Subject-Matter and Its Methodological Significations
Abstract:
The re-explore of features and components of ethics subject, i.e. the voluntary actions and acquired traits, not only is necessary for a better understanding of this knowledge, but also has a role in the understanding of the method of deduction of moral judgments. Therefore, in this article we want to answer the question “what are the characteristics of ethics subject-matter?” and “what is their role in the deduction of moral judgments?” By analytical and rational method, we obtain seven features of ethics subject as follows: being a part of human activities, being conscious, being voluntary and optional, to be abstract, purposefulness, complexity and multi-layered and ultimately depending on worldview and on active anthropology. Then, we examine the role of these characteristics in the deduction method of moral judgments, and conclude that to discover the truth of moral values, it is necessary to take advantage of different ways to achieve the truth, especially the revelation and the religious texts.
