Critical Evaluation of Swinburne's View on Religious Experience

Religiousexperience is one of the most important issue in the contemporary philosophy of religion. The question which has occupied the philosophers’ attention is that whether the subject of experience is justified in their belief about the object of experience or not? Richard Swinburne believes that the principle of credulity can prove the authenticity of religious experience for its subject and the principle of testimony can prove it’s authenticity for others. The writer of this paper has distinguished two realms of rationality: philosophical and common sense. In the realm of philosophical rationality. Swinburne’s claims are untenable but in the realm of common sense it is acceptable.
