A Study on Impact of Psychological Empowerment on Knowledge Sharing Culture Case Study of Female Employees of Ministry of Education in Mazandaran Province

In third millennium, knowledge management and knowledge sharing was introduced as a strategic need for educational institutions system. In fact, relying on human capital, ideas and information, will ensure long term excellence of the organizations and communities. At first hand, psychological empowerment is one of factors that influences organizations and firm's success, economic growth, and productivity. Researches indicate that there's a positive relationship between knowledge sharing and psychological empowerment. The purpose of this research is to assess the effects of psychological empowerment on knowledge sharing among mazandaran province female staff of ministry of education. The methodology of this paper is descriptive survey method, based on structural equation modeling, with questionnaires used to gather the required information. Reliability of the questionnaire was tested using Cronbach’s alpha and the validity was confirmed by specialists in the fields of human resources management, institutional behavior and knowledge management. The results indicate that the psychological empowerment and dimensions of psychological empowerment is a significant predictor of knowledge sharing among employees. In other words, the psychological empowerment does affect the knowledge sharing.
