" Shaparak" as Technological Entrepreneurship in large and public organization: A grounded theory

Abstract:
In many organizations, Technology couldn’t improve efficiency and performance. Hence In this subject, in-depth and targeted studies are needed to explore successful cases. One of these rare and successful cases is Shaparak. Shaparak is a new corporation in central bank of Iran as a large and public organization that is one of the newest technological proceedings in the central bank. This study was based on the occurrence of this technological entrepreneurial action. This study been done with grounded theory as a qualitative approach. From interviews, 138 categorical propositions in open coding and 38 sub-categories in axial coding sprouted. In selective coding 9 categories came up. These categories include historical background, antecedents of the event process, the structuring of new business models, to convince the public, regulation as the core category and the consequences. Finally the blossom of the grounded theory sprouted and corresponding policy recommendations are presented which can be used in large and public organizations especially in exposure to the new technologies.
