Illusion is a poetic techning but the most. mysterious and the most beautiful one used by skilled poets to articulate the most artistic songs poets have employed this method to produce complicated and obscure and as aresult wonderful and mindful words.
Illusion is very important in Arabic and Persian rhetorics and has remarkable aesthetic value. In most Persian and Arabic rhetoric books Illusion is defined as using a word that has two meaning one of them is direct and clos to the mind and the other one is remote and strange to the mind the reader at first glance thinks that the near meaning is needed but with a littie thought understands that the other meaning is intended by the writher.
Here we want to speak about the historical development of this techning in rhetoric books. In addition to the various technigues employed by the previous poets , some new methods invented by the contemporary poets will be explained in this research.
