The relationship between science and technology in terms of policy, engineering education and public domain

Nowadays science and technology have a key role in most areas. This is of particularly importance in area such as policy making, engineering’s education and social areas. Therefore the quiddity and quality of the relation between them is very important. In public opinion the relation between them for the most part is defined as: technology is applied science. In this essay, our aim is to criticize this opinion using theoretical and historical arguments. The attempt has been made to demonstrate that this understanding from the relation between science and technology is incorrect and inaccurate and needs to be reviewed and redefined. Finally we present some suggestions for the possible alternatives of the relations .between science and technology.
