Study of the impact of information management capability on organizational performance (Case study: companies located in Guilan science and technology park)

This study investigates the impact of information management capability on organizational performance and the role of organizational capabilities (including customer management capability, process management capability and performance management capability) in relation to these two variables. Analysis of the findings of 95 questionnaires distributed among managers and experts of the companies located in Guilan science and technology park shows that the information management capability plays an important role in development of customer, process, and performance management abilities. These three capabilities are effective on human and financial resources, customers and organizational performance efficacy. As a result, managers must focus on creating the necessary conditions for the development of IT infrastructure and data management capability; because these capabilities play a major role in the production of the other ones needed to develop organizational performance.
