Digestibility of processed cereal grain by mobile nylon bag technique in Turkmen Horse

This experiment was conducted to determine the digestibility of processed barley and corn grains in Turkmen horse by mobile nylon bag technique. Four Turkmen mares used in the experiment. Experimental cereals include barley and corn grains that used in four different forms include: Steam flaked, micronized, pelleted and without processing. The mobile bag filled with 1 g of one of experimental feeds and incubated through a nasogastric tube in gastrointestinal tract. Bags were collected from the faeces and after washing and drying the bags, dry matter, starch, crude protein and ether extract measured and digestibility coefficients calculated.
