The present research tries to study the connection between wisdom and happiness in ShahName by Ferdowsi and compares the results with the poetry of some Persian and Arab poets to reach in a conclusion.
Since the opening verse of this great national literary work has started with the name of God of life and wisdom, this beautiful opening shows the value and high status of wisdom. The capable and skillful scholar defines life in the scenes of struggle with a deep vision and thought and through showing ethical characteristics from one hand and
warning human beings to avoid vices on the other hand, he looks for the achievement of happiness. And since wisdom is one of the most joyful ways of feeding the soul it creates self-confidence and paves the way of development and happiness in life.
