A comparative look on Ferdowsi's Shahnameh and Homer's Iliad and Odyssey

Abstract:
Ferdowsi is one of the most famous epic poets of the world and is one of the luminaries of the Persian literature.
The present article has a comparative look at this great poet’s eternal work and Homer’s epic who was a blind Greek poet. By a profound look at both works similarities and differences can be noticed which is the main subject of the present article. It is also attempted to make these similarities and differences of these two epic works apparent.
