Sunrise from the Western horizon in Islamic traditions

One of the signs of the apocalypse is the sunrise from the west. It is cited in both Shiite and Sunni anecdotal evidence, thus its origin cannot be doubted. However, there are several perspectives and possibilities as to how this may happen. This article reviews a set of traditions to clarify the meaning of them and dismissed the actual rise of the sun from the west as a marker of the emergence. From among multiple possibilities, the allusion of sunrise, the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (AS) and to mark the resurrection of the incident sunrise are thus strengthened.
