The relationship between aiding factors, teaching methods and educational facilities with educational progress of students in multi-grade classes students from the perception of elementary school teachers in Ilam province

Abstract:
There are diverse conditions in the field of teaching and training in Education Ministry which are quite different from each other and educational programmers, especially teachers have to advance teaching and learning according to the given conditions. This study was qualitative and survey in nature. To do this study multi-grade classes around the province were identified and 5 areas were selected out of the 14 areas. The instrument of the study was a 28-item questionnaire validity and reliability of which were calculated and after administration Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to determine the normality of the data. Also to analyze the hypotheses, Chi-square and Friedman tests were employed to determine the rank of different factors that influence educational progress of the students. The result show that in spite of the effect of the four factors on educational progress of the students namely space and physical instruments, teaching-aid instruments, teaching methods, teacher’s classroom management in multi-grade classes and method of assisting the students in these classes, among these factors teaching-aid instruments affect educational progress of the students more than other factors. The second influential factor on educational progress of these students was assisting students in multi-grade classes. The third effective factor from the perception of the teachers was teaching method and teacher’s classroom management. Physical factors of the class and class atmosphere were the fourth effective factor on educational progress of the students form the teachers’ perception.
