Intensity and prevalence of source of stress in Iran

Abstract:
Introduction
Stress is the most common harmful events for general health in industrialized world. There is closely relationship between stress and several common disorders. The aim of the paper was to collect the published articles that they classified the severity and prevalence of stressors in Iran.
Methods
The method was internet search of keywords such as stressor, severity and prevalence of stressors in Iran. The related published articles were selected. Stressor severity classification was based on valid Holmes-rahe, Pickel and Luthans questionnaires. Ten studies in the general or special populations of different cities of Iran such as Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Zahedan, Sabzevar, Mahshahr, Gilan, Mazandaran and the Persian Gulf region were collected. The studies that have assessed only job stressors or just explored the relationship between the scores of psychological disorders and stressors have not been considered.
Result and
Conclusion
The result of 5199 subjects between years of 1371 to 1390 showed economic problems, job, environment and family were the most common stressors. Also Stress related to death of spouse and child, family problems, housing, economic and job were more severe than others.
