Nomads and tribes of Kerman

As anthropology has revealed, the difference among humans is not due to their skin color or their appearance, rather, what makes them distinct is their culture including their lifestyle and the way they compromise with the environment. Based on this truth, it must be admitted that in order to know human being, it is required to investigate the various cultures of human societies. Nomadic life is a lifestyle and of course a cultural issue. The nomadic society of Iran has a long-lasting role in the history and culture of this country. Since long before, some people have chosen to live in parts of this vast area on natural pastures keeping livestock. Thus, the nomadic society has formed a third society beside urban and rural societies. The present study was aimed to mention the limits and number of nomadic tribes and clans of Kerman province. Moreover, theterritory, the reason behind names, history, handicrafts, religion, language and traditions of each tribe were introduced and elaborated.
