Consequences of the Sanctions of America against Iran since 1978 to 1988

After the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, America attempted to isolate Iran by various plots. Imposing sanctions from the west, though bringing about some problems for Iran, it had positive economic, political, cultural, psychological results for Iran. Nevertheless, to cover the contradiction between promise and practice and under the influence of Jewish lobby, the US continues to apply the politics of imposing sanctions against Iran. By answering this question that what factors were effective to prevent the US from reaching its desired purposes, the paper intends to test this hypothesis that the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini and association of people highly trimmed and sometimes neutralized the effects of sanctions.
