The Patterns of the Iranian Youth Usage of Cell Phones (Functions and dysfunctions in Daily Life)
Abstract:
This paper studies the various daily life usages of cell phones among Tehran youth by focusing on the function and dysfunction concepts and illuminates and classifies their usage patterns. In this study we implement the qualitative approach through Phenomenological interviews with 16 young residents of Tehran. At first, we review the role of technology in changing the social world and the role of cell phones in Iranian society with a look at the relations between society and technology. We then present our findings along with features and basis of the Phenomenology methodology. Finally, we present the conclusion and classification of the cell phone usage patterns.
