On the Study of Alternant Industry Positioning for Regional Stability (Case Study: Hashtroud Township)

Abstract:
The conversion and complementary industries of agriculture are considered as a complement of agriculture productions due to their special features which lead to sustainable rural developments through the settlements. Alternant industries is regarded as one of the major grounds related to agriculture, rural and job-making development. The present paper follows two principal goals: first, selecting the best site to establish a fruit juice factory in rural settlement of Hashtroud and, second, showing the application of analytic hierarchy process for site selection industrials. The method of the research is an analytic-statistical one. As the first step, the appropriate sites for industry establishment were selected by applying centrality model and location coefficient, then the most appropriate site for industry establishment was chosen by using analytic hierarchy process.
