Estimating the Transmissivity Coefficient of Aquifer Using of Specific Capacity Data

Abstract:
Using specific capacity data are suitable method for estimating an aquifer transmissivity. specific capacity data are typically with ease available compared with time-drawdown data, therefore helping specific capacity data can increase the number of transmissivity estimates in an aquifer. Numerous researchers have tried to obtain the relationship between specific capacity with transmissivity and different methods have been Provided in which the most commonly has been the analytical approach based on the Theis formula. In this research introduce a simple approach using the Microsoft Excel software which is based on iteration algorithm, providing fast estimates of hydrodynamic coefficients in more points. This approach has been used in two different location of Qom aquifer successfully, which in each two places, hydrodynamic coefficients from this approach are logically consistent with methods of curve matching.Using specific capacity data are suitable method for estimating an aquifer transmissivity. specific capacity data are typically with ease available compared with time-drawdown data, therefore helping specific capacity data can increase the number of transmissivity estimates in an aquifer.
