The toxic effects of Toluene on the the lungs, spleen and blood parameters in mice

Toluene (C7H8) is an aromatic compound and part of the structure of petroleum, which is mainly used as a chemical solvent in the industry. Being harmful to the environment and with respect to the increasingly use and side effects, this substance and its impact on blood and lunges tissues, have been studied on in this study.
Material and 30 mature Albino NMRI mice have been experimented in three groups of Shem, Group-A, which has been injected with the 0.1 cc Toluene solution (35% Toluene and 65% physiologic solution) with the purity of 1700 mg/kg for 25 days and Group-B with the same weight of the mice and the same situation except the purity which has been changed to 1000 mg/kg. After weighting, anesthesia and taking blood samples, relative parameters of blood and lung tissues were considered, measured and studied in the scope of micro and macro.
Reasalt: In the Group-A the percentage of Neutrophil have been reduced and the number of degenerated Lymphocytes and other leukocytes have been enhanced. In lung's tissues the mean thickness of bronchi walls, the overall diameter of bronchioles end, breathing bronchiole, and the thickness of the Alveoli septa in group-A have shown improvements, also pneumocystis1 cells and pneumocystis 2 cells have been raised and reduced respectively. At all the mentioned parameters there are meaningful relations between A and B and shame, with a P By stimulating Blood makingcenters, Toluene causes changes in the number and the percentages of leukocytes and by raising the thickness and the diameter of parameters of lungs, causes breathing weakness and the reduction of its performance. These impacts are dependent to the dosage of the Toluene of which the high purity has shown much more damage.
