The Impact of Entrepreneurship Education On Student Entrepreneurship Intention and traits

The education system plays an important role in the development of an entrepreneurial culture. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of entrepreneurship education on student entrepreneurial intentions and traits.
By using a quasi-experimental approach, the student entrepreneurial traits and intention were compared before and after entrepreneurship course. Questionnaire was prepared based on literature review and extraction of relevant variables. The validity of questionnaire was confirmed by the experts. Data were collected by participation of 218 students before and after the course.
Findings: The result shoed participation in entrepreneurial courses lead to increase the intention of entrepreneurship. Furthermore, some important psychological characteristics include: successful ambition, risk taking, independence and internal locus of control that important and necessary for becoming an entrepreneur has improved. The findings also revealed that few of the teaching methods were used to teach entrepreneurship and a few types of entrepreneurship content was offered to students.
