The Relationship between Self-Efficacy Beliefs and Perceived Social Support with Academic Achievement in High School Atudents in Ali Abad-e-KatoulCity

In all educational systems, the academic achievement is the most important indicator of success for the scientific and educational activities; therefore, the present survey was aimed to study the relationship between self-efficacy beliefs and perceived social support with academic achievement in high school students in Ali Abad-e- Katoul city of Golestan province.
This cross-sectional study was conducted on 460 first and second year high-school students (230 male and 230 female) using cluster sampling technique. The data was collected by three standardized questionnaires (support from parents, teachers and friends and self-efficacy) and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics including Pearson correlation and Multivariate Regression model. Significant level was considered significant as pFindings:The majority of them 238 (51.7%) were in the second year of high-school with the age of 17. Based on Pearson coefficient, there is a significant relationship between perceived support from family (pAccording to the present results, a family-based intervention appears likely more beneficial to provide more support for students to achieve higher academic.
