Abstract:
Background And Aim
In all educational systems, the academic achievement is the most important indicator of success for the scientific and educational activities; therefore, the present survey was aimed to study the relationship between self-efficacy beliefs and perceived social support with academic achievement in high school students in Ali Abad-e- Katoul city of Golestan province.
Methods
This cross-sectional study was conducted on 460 first and second year high-school students (230 male and 230 female) using cluster sampling technique. The data was collected by three standardized questionnaires (support from parents, teachers and friends and self-efficacy) and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics including Pearson correlation and Multivariate Regression model.
