Hierarchical Classification of Factors Affecting Job Motivation among Members of the Military Center

This study aimed to identify factors affecting job motivation and to prioritize them using Analytical Hierarchy Process in a military center.
This study was a cross-sectional analysis that was conducted in 2015 in a military center. The sample consisted of 100 people. Data collection tools included two questionnaires that were designed based on Herzberg's theory of motivation. The method used for prioritization was Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP).
Results showed that the components of job security and decent wages with importance coefficients of 0.29 and 0.20 are respectively the first and second priorities and the components of communication and environmental policy with importance coefficient of 0.02 are in the last level
In this study, it was concluded that the organization can provide a secure platform for achieving organizational goals and better performance of staff by providing job security and attention to economic and livelihood problems as well as staff performance-based payment.
