Comparison of reality therapy and medication on improvement of mood symptoms addicts

The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of group reality therapy and medication on mood symptoms in patients are addicted. The research on the city of Mahabad was addicted patients.
The community and voluntary sampling method, 30 people were selected randomly in two experimental and control groups were replaced. To compare the two approaches reality therapy and drug therapy, group reality therapy and medication groups were exposed togroup reality therapy and meditation, as well as all the participants at the beginning and end of the test substance Depression Scale DASS-21 (Lovibbond, and Lovibbond, 1995) completed.
The results obtained through analysis of covariance and t tests for independent groups were analyzed. At the end of the training period, the difference between the scores before and after treatment showed the therapy improved mood symptoms group reality therapy and drug addicts have a significant positive impact, it became clear that symptoms in people affected reality therapy significant difference between the groups is under the influence of medication.
As a result, reality therapy can be considered as a therapeutic approach for treatment of mood symptoms used to be drug addicts.
