The effectiveness of optimistic attribution styles training on reduction of addiction potential and change of attribution students

Aim:This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of optimistic attribution styles training on reduction of addiction potential and change of attribution.
This study is a semi-experimental with pre and post-test design with control group. 40 students among statistical population of Pakdasht high school girl students was selected by the cluster sampling and they have put in two groups of experimental and control equally. It has been used from questionnaire of Attributional Style and Iranian Addiction Potential Scale for gathering information and data was analyzed by analysis of covariance.
Results showed that optimistic attribution styles training caused the meaningful decrease of addiction potential among the girls students. So the results showed that optimistic attribution styles training led to change the pessimistic attribution styles to optimistic one in the experimental group.
Therefore we can apply this kind of data for preventing students from contrasting addict.
