A Pathological Study of Morality among Authorities of Theocratic Regimes Based on Nahjo Al-balaghe

To the same extent that authorities in either theocratic regimes or non- theocratic regimes have access to position, authority, and government facilities, they are at risk of committing various offences. In this paper, The reasons underpinning governmental offences, unpalatable social, political, and economic consequences resulting from these offences, and approaches to prevent them based on Alavi government tenets are studied. A descriptive-analytic method was employed to investigate exclusively moral offences among theocratic regimes officials and authorities with a focus on Nahj al-Balagha. According to the findings, the most significant moral offences among government officials included: arrogance; worldliness, violence, and oppression. Reasons underlying these offences were found to be egotism, weakness of character, ignorance, passion, and abuse of power which all resulted from their positions in the government. The findings also showed that possible approaches which can be taken to prevent these offences include high level officials and senior executives` attempt to promote humility, asceticism, toleration, proper behavior, justice, and commitment to religious obligations among the government officials.
