Differential Juvenile Justice in Criminal Procedure Act 1392

There are several principles of human rights and Criminology that prescribe specific procedures for dealing with juvenile delinquents. Since many years ago, there has been this approach in Iran. The Criminal Procedure Act 1392 contains significant changes about these issues. It has introduced new Institutions and provided considerable new rights, such as special juvenile courts, special juvenile police and children prosecution. This article discusses these new agencies in the stage of pre-trial and trial in two divided chapters and considers the positive and negative points in these new provisions with a critical view. In other words the main purpose is evaluation of legislation related to juvenile criminal procedure.
