democratic political culture and modern middle class (the case: university masters and high school teachers in hamedan city)

the present article is outcome of a research about tending to the democratic political culture among modern middle class in iran , emphasizing on effects of socioeconomic development index. This investigation is going to answer two main question : 1- people in what extent have tendency toward democratic culture ? 2- what is the role of socioeconomic factors and indexes in tending toward democratic political culture . in this research , in order to exploring political culture have been used of a combined model based on studies of Mark Tessler and Ronald Ingelhart . In this study servey method have been used as major research method and its statistical population consists of universities masters and high school teachers in hamedan city. 330 people have been selected from population randomly .The results are as follow :38 percent classified as people who enjoy of democratic political culture , 30/7 percent enjoy of Indifferent type of political culture , 21/2 percent is classified in parochial type and 9/4 percent categorized in practical type of political culture . explaining results show : Tendency to the post material values is the most important variable explain tending to the democratic culture , education level play important role as well and use of media is another item of modernization index that explain extent of tendency to the democratic political culture
