Developing Improved Attention Game Software (A.I.G.1) and its Impact on Increasing the Threshold of Attention of Children with Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder

The purpose of this study is determining the impact of attention improvement games software (A.I.G.I) on increasing the attention threshold in 9-11 years old children with attention deficit/hyperactive disorder.
This study was an experimental one with a pretest and posttest design and control group. The statistical population includes all -11 years old children 9with ADHD in the academic year of 2014-2015. The sample was consisted of 50 children with ADHD that were chosen randomly, matched in terms of age and gender, and then were assigned to experiment and control groups (each group included 25 ADHD children). Research tools included CPT, DIV & SEL ATT computerized tests, Conners Forms (teacher & parents) as well as clinical interview. Data was analyzed using SPSS software program Ver.22 and using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) method.
Experiment 1 revealed that attention training (via game) can be effective on increase of threshold attention. A follow-up test was conducted one month later, and the test results showed the lasting effect of training on the threshold of the children's attention (f=1, p Based on these results it can be concluded that promoting the components of attention via games can increase the threshold of attention of children, especially for children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
