Evaluating Curriculum Prepared in "Maktab al-Quran al-Karim" Institute Based on The Guidelines for Pre-school Planning in Ministry of Education

The present study aims at evaluating curricula prepared by Maktab al-Quran al-Karim pre-school institute based on the guidelines enacted for pre-school curricula of Ministry of Education. The research method is of the type used for evaluating curricula which analyzes, in a descriptive-analytical way, the elements of Maktab al-Quran's curriculum from the expert's viewpoint in various disciplines including linguistics, studying religion, children's psychology, educative psychology and sociology. The statistical sample was composed of 60 experts of children's issues and interdisciplinary experts in six provinces including Tehran, Semnan, Razavi Khorasan, Guilan, Qom as well as cities of Tehran province selected through purposeful sampling in 1392-1393 SH.
The measuring device was a constructed interview whose content validity was confirmed by the experts of the council for pre-school planning in Office of Compiling Textbooks. The reliability of the test was calculated to be 0.98 for the expert's questionnaire, obtained through Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient. The analysis of the findings was done descriptively using the SPSS software. The findings showed that the elements of goals of Quranic teachings, the content of pictures in the books of Maktab al-Quran, the technique of collective recitation, and individual evaluation are in the highest harmony with the guidelines enacted for pre-school period.
