The estimation of total Factor Productivity and Measuring milk production potential in Industrial cow farms of Mazandaran Province

Nowadays, existing Consumer demand for dairy products especially milk, being limited production factors and the emphasis of fifth program of economic development and 20-years perspective to improve the productivity index in production, display the optimal use urgency of resources and productivity increase.
Material and In this paper, was estimated the productivity of livestock farms using of Tornqvist-Theil index in 2014. Therefore, data information was collected by documentary and survey approach (using of two-stage cluster sampling).
The results showed that the township of Ghaemshahr, Babol and Sari have first rank, second and third, respectively. Distribution coefficient was calculated 0.309, 0.342 and 0.374 for the township of Sari, Ghaemshahr and Babol, respectively. This result showed that productivity index has the most vibration in Ghaemshahr among other townships. Also, milk production potential was calculated 1888.42, 1965.25 and 1378.03 kilograms for the township of Sari, Ghaemshahr and Babol, respectively.
With improvement of productive index, production will increase 57, 49 and 41percent in the township of Sari, Ghaemshahr and Babol, respectively.
Therefore, with good management in the optimal use of inputs, decreasing production costs, and applying the proper policies should prepared perfect background to increase the productivity of production farms.
