Structure of Disciplinary Anthropology in Religious Tradition

Anthropology is among the basics of Islamic ethics and practical mysticism. In religious tradition and in terms of discipline, anthropology could be depicted with a certain structure. Heartfelt truth, which is the man’s heavenly identity, extends from divine to bodily dimension and has two realms: sensual and spiritual. Each of these two realms have also two kinds of hosts, i.e. characteristic hosts, and two kinds of modes, i.e. levels of soul. Sensual realm is the lower realm of heartfelt truth, which sensual desires govern it, hosts of ignorance dwell in it, and the two natural and sensual modes, i.e. vegetative and pugnacious soul, reside in it. Spiritual realm is the upper realm of heartfelt truth, which has direct communication with God, hosts of reason dwell in it, and the two modes of spirit and mystery, i.e. holly and divine soul, reside in it. Indeed, the center of this truth and the border of these two realm are the modes of reason and heart, which are two respects of a same mode.
