Evaluation environmental - physical security in the urban dual spaces (Case Study: Ahwaz Metropolis)

Security directly related to the urban construction and space¡ so that security is different in urban spaces. Hence the present study aims to evaluate the sense of physical - environment security in urban dual spaces (the Hasirabad informal settlements area and Golestan planned settlements) in the Ahwaz metropolis and executive strategies in order to achieve optimum situation.
Research method in this study in terms of the type of a practical and the nature a descriptive - analytical. For data collection was used field and survey method and to perform and analysis of data and information from the average numerical test¡ average Friedman¡ two independent sample t-test well in SPSS software and to prepare maps was used from GIS software. Also statistical community Hasirabad and Golestan neighborhoods¡ that the sample size for each neighborhood based on a Cochrane is obtained 383 Person .
Finding: The findings of this study indicate that the major factor of insecurity in Golestan neighborhood in terms of physical– environment variables is in the absence of proper lighting and furniture¡ poor planting trees and plants pillars and spaces that does not have a specific user and Hasirabad neighborhood the most important factors affecting insecurity¡ there are dilapidated and stagnant spaces in the neighborhood¡ and there are spaces that specific user does not have a non-rotating paths and are impasse.
The results of the study also shows no significant differences in terms of environmental - physical safety between informal and planned urban spaces. The level of significance to test statistical comparison between the two groups (two quarters) significant (Sig = 0.003).
