Household accidents awareness of preventive behaviors in mothers of children one to five years referred to health centers in Bushehr

accidents are the most important cause of mortality among children that is increasing yearly. Mother's knowledge is of great importance in preventing accidents The present study aimed to determine the level of awareness of preventive behaviors in mothers with children one to five years of age who visited health centers in Bushehr .
this was a cross-sectional in 2015-2016 in which 100 mother with children one to five years of age were randomly selected. Data collection tools was a questionnaire developed by the author to assess awareness of mothers in terms of preventive behaviors in household accidents. Reliability and validity of the questionnaire were assessed before being used in the project. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 16, significant (p The results showed that the average level of knowledge of mothers was (17/5 ± 13/24).there was 69% at Desirable level ,22% in average level and 9% in weak. There was significant relationship between employment and maternal awareness
