A Survey of the Reformative Thought of Haj Aqa Mojtahed Shirazi, Deputy in National Council Assembly during Second to Fourth Periods (1288-1300 Sh.)

The question of the paper runs as: how did Haji Aqa Shirazi think about the society of his time and its deviations from norms and principles, and what would he think to be the solution to turn to desirable situation? Shirazi`s reformative solution, in form, lay in constitutionality and constitutional law and, in content, lay in such values as opposing discrimination, corruption, unsafety, poverty and reviving rights of the nation according to Islamic teachings. He viewed reforms and legal sanctions of the Assembly, as the center of legislation of country, and supervising them as the only solution. The method applied in the paper may be known as analytico-descriptive.
